Citizens across Albania are protesting against the government, demanding transparency regarding a luxury tourism project in the protected Narta Lagoon area near the city of Vlora—a project linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, and his wife, Ivanka Trump. The project was planned for two locations along the Adriatic coast: the protected Vjosa-Narta delta area and the uninhabited island of Sazan.
