Fifth Day of the Protest
June 4, 2026
Activists and citizens during the seventh day of protests outside the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana on August 3, 2026, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Rama. Hundreds of citizens are demonstrating in Tirana for the seventh consecutive night, demanding transparency regarding a luxury tourism project in the protected Narta Lagoon area in Zvernec—near the city of Vlora—linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, and his wife, Ivanka Trump. The project was planned for two locations along the Adriatic coast: the protected Vjosa-Narta delta area and the uninhabited island of Sazan.
